DIRECTIONS: • 2 Tbls - all-purpose flour • 1 Lb - beef round steak, 1 inch thick • 1 1/2 Tbls - vegetable shortening • 1/2 large - onion, sliced • 1 Jar - Shooting Star Farms Roasted Garlic Salsa • 1/4 Cup - water Combine flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 dash of pepper; distribute over meat and pound mixture into meat. In large skillet, heat shortening and place meat in pan, brown on both sides. Remove beef and drain off any excess oil, return meat to pan. Top meat with sliced onion and Shooting Farms Roasted Garlic Salsa. Pour water around the meat. Cover and cook over medium-low heat being careful to keep sufficient water in the pan to prevent burning. Cook slowly about 1 1/2 hours, or until tender. Makes 4 servings. © 1997-2004, Salsa2U.com |
