His gourmet treat has won numerous salsa industry awards, including the 1996 Fiery Foods Challenge in Albuquerque, New Mexico. JC's Midnite Salsa Story... As a student at the University of Arizona, Jim Teschner developed his initial salsa recipe with his sister. After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree he moved to Ventura, Arizona, armed with his salsa recipe. He took a job with the Naval Surface Warfare Center and began tinkering with his secret recipe late at night. He kept tweaking it until he perfected it for all of us to enjoy. The first flavor to jump on your taste buds is a great "steaky" taste- simply fantastic!
